Derek Farrar and Laurieanne Gilner are best known as the founders of the contemporary fashion brand Parker which was founded in 2008 in NYC. They grew it into a well-respected and successful brand. At the height of Parker’s success, the founder duo was looking for a partner to help them extend their reach. Ultimately the company was acquired. The initial intention was to remain involved but the duo quickly felt restricted in what they do best: creating and evolving. They decided to leave Parker and form a new brand that would again give them the freedom to follow their passion and in 2019 GILNER FARRAR was founded.
Derek and Laurieanne continue to make beautiful detailed clothing. To create the perfect prints and to find the right fabrics for each season they rely on decades of experience complemented by collaborations with artisans from all around the world.
